Sixty-eight year old woman involved in a trip and fall accident sustained injuries of her right foot Achilles tendon. Treatment included her leg and foot to be placed in a cast for 5 weeks and the use of crutches. She was later switched to a walking cast and treated for another 5 months until it resolved.
Award Reason :
The court awarded $22,000 in general damages and her husband was awarded $3,000 in loss of consortium damages.
