Woman involved in car accident sustained injuries of soft tissues in the neck and shoulder. Doctor diagnosed woman with musculoligamentous neck and shoulder strains as well as severe whiplash. Woman later had 3 surgeries lumbar fusion, cervical surgery and disc removal surgery.

Award Reason :

Plaintiff in hospital for 18 days post accident. Jury awarded $10,500 in pain and suffering and $20,000 in medical expenses. Jury noted surgeries were not related accident. Woman's husband was awarded $1,000 in loss of consortium and all eight minors were awarded $2,000 in loss of consortium.
